T. grandiflorumis, perhaps the best known and loved of all the trilliums. It favors well-drained, neutral to slightly acid soils, usually in second- or young-growth forests.Depending on geographical factors, it flowers from late April to early June. The white flowers of the common pure white variety of T. grandiflorum turn a very distinctive pink and remain so for several days just prior to the wilting of the flowers.
