Pachysandra procumbens. Native to an area KY to NC and south to LA and FL. This native pachysandra is not an invasive so it will not take over as P. terminalis will. It is a semi-evergreen with dark green leaves mottled with pale green. The flowers are 2"-4" white fragrant spikes. Bloom time is March - May. Plant height is 6". Prefers moist, humus-rich, acid soil and part shade to shade conditions. In the wild, P. procumbens is found in rich soils with limestone substrate. Zones 6-8.
